Mrs. Cheryl Bachman

 

Mrs. Bachman completed her degrees in Elementary and Special Education at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. Cheryl teaches second grade in a self-contained classroom at Moraine Elementary School in the Slippery Rock Area School District. Cherylís expertise in all academic areas and her experience with differentiated instruction enables her to be an excellent tutor for teacher candidates preparing for their exams.

 

Mrs. Sarah Cordosi

 

Mrs. Sarah Cardosi completed her degree in Elementary and Special Education at Duquesne University and her Master's of Reading degree at Slippery Rock University. Sarah taught Fourth Grade and worked as a Reading Specialist for the Butler Area School District. She has worked for PA Cyber Charter School as a Title I Coach, Enrichment Instructor and Virtual Substitute Teacher. Sarah currently works as a Homebound Instructor for the Seneca Valley School District. She enjoys supporting students in an online format preparing and studying for the exams.

 

Mrs. Kristen DiDonato

 

Mrs. Kristen DiDonato earned her Bachelor of Science Degrees in both Elementary and Early Childhood Education at Grove City College in Pennsylvania. Kristen also completed her Master's of Reading at California University in Pennsylvania. She currently teaches third grade for the Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School. Kristen greatly enjoys working with teacher candidates through one-on-one tutoring to help them achieve their goal of becoming a teacher.

 

Mrs. Heather Kusick

 

Mrs. Heather Kusick graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with her bachelorís degree in developmental psychology and masterís degree in elementary education. She has teaching certifications in Elementary K-6, Mid-Level English, Reading Specialist, and Family and Consumer Sciences. Heather is a third grade teacher in the Butler Area School District. Along with her students in her third grade classroom, Heather aims to make learning attainable for her tutored students. She works at her studentsí pace and makes sure they understand the content so they are able to pass the test. Heather loves working one-on-one with teacher candidates to help them reach their dream of becoming a teacher!

 

Mrs. Annie Lindsay

 

Mrs. Annie Lindsay completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education at Miami University of Ohio and then continued her studies to earn a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Cincinnati.  She is certified to teach grades K-6 and also maintains her principal certificate for grades K-12.  Annie taught for eleven years in the elementary classroom before joining the Butler County Community College family.  She currently teaches courses for the education department and the PAPA/PECT/Praxis program.  Annie has been preparing students for high-stakes standardized state testing since entering the classroom.  She believes that understanding the test objectives, preparing with the correct materials, and designing a study plan geared to meet each student’s needs are the keys to success!

 

Mrs. Adria Matonak Herlihy

 

Mrs. Adria Herlihy holds a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood and Special Education and then completed her Masters Degree in Education, Low Incidence Disabilities at East Carolina University. Mrs. Herlihy is currently an Autism and Emotional Support Special Education Teacher with Seneca Valley School District in Pennsylvania. She brings a wealth of expert knowledge in the area of children with special needs.

 

Mrs. Kerry Miller

 

Mrs. Kerry Miller finished her bachelor's degree in history from Minot State University in North Dakota. After returning to Pennsylvania, Kerry earned a master's degree in education from Waynesburg College where she obtained her PA teaching certificate in secondary social studies. Kerry is also certified in English, Math, Science, Biology, Spanish, Health, Library Science, and Latin. Kerry has been an instructor with the Butler County Community College Praxis program since 2006.  She knows how stressful it can be to take the Praxis exams, but Kerry believes the key to overcoming test anxiety is preparation! Kerry provides students with great review materials and helps students focus their attention on key test areas.

 

Mrs. Holly Murphy

 

Mrs. Holly Murphy earned her Bachelor of Science Degrees in Elementary and Early Childhood Education at Grove City College and her Master's and Reading Specialist Certification at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania.  Holly currently teaches first grade in North Hills School District but also enjoys working with Praxis/PECT students through online courses and individual tutoring.  She understands the hard work and preparation that goes into preparing for the exams and is dedicated to helping her students pass!

 

Mrs. Megan Tolfa

 

Mrs. Megan Tolfa received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Exceptionalities in 2009. She received her Master's Degree in Reading from Slippery Rock University in 2013. Megan currently works as a fifth grade Specialized Instruction teacher at a private school near Pittsburgh, PA.

 

Mrs. Michelle Vinroe

 

Mrs. Michelle Vinroe completed her Bachelorís Degree in Mathematics Education at Grove City College, Pennsylvania and currently teaches in the Butler Area. Mrs. Vinro has worked with students of all abilities and prepared many students for standardized exams. She understands the demands of the new Praxis II Mathematics Content Knowledge Exam.

 

Miss Kristen Zaccari

 

Miss Kristen Zaccari is currently a 5th grade teacher in the North Allegheny School District. She graduated with her bachelorís degree in Elementary Education from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. She also went on to receive her masterís degree in Reading from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. Kristen feels that practice and application of the test taking strategies discussed throughout the tutoring course are key to success on the exams. She is constantly searching for new and improved materials to help prepare each student for success and to help them realize their dream of becoming a teacher!
